Comic Zeal Comic Book Reader App Reviews

I downloaded this due to the reviews. It cannot upload any files. Served tips online, nothing ever worked. Delete and reinstall, it just sits there empty. Wont connect to any wifi. I never got to read anything within it. Seems useless. Im not sure whos writing all the 5 star reviews.

Ive been using this as my main comic reader for years. I cant recall of Ive ever had a problem with it. If you load a series of individual comics, like a 6 issue series of Deadpool, it will place them in a Deadpool folder it creates, in order, ready to read. You can rename and organize your comics any way you want, has great zoom in/out, rotate your tablet to see a full 2 page spread as it was meant to be seen or you can see it in portrait mode albeit smaller. Its very customizable and Id say I use only 20% of the options and features this app has. Great for regular comics and manga.

I used the app exclusively for board game rule book PDFs. It crashed a LOT. I now use the PDF reader in Dropbox, and get to easily sync my collection across devices. Uninstalled after years of use.

This would be perfect if you could import via Dropbox more than one file at a time. So slow that way. Let us choose all the files in Dropbox then choose import all at once and this will be a 5 star app. But thats a big deal. Such an annoying pain.

Please fix

Ive been a user for years. App no longer imports comics via iTunes. Support non-existent. Im going elsewhere

Ive been using this for over a year now and up until recently its been amazing. Around a month or two ago though, when syncing over WiFi, I noticed folders would randomly get deleted due to some error that is not consistent. But Ive now lost 4-5 folders of dozens of comics and have no explanation why. Ive reached out to support on their website and gotten no reply. This needs to be fixed asap or Im done with this app as it loses core functionality if its deleting my comics while trying to import them.

I spent 2 weeks uploading and sorting my comics, only to have ComicZeal delete everything. Looking online, this has been happening since its beginning, and is still not fixed. No refunds or fixes are available, only apologies. A waste of 2 weeks and $5.

I can empathize that this is a one-man show but there are still issues. Comics that had one imported no longer show up: the entire folder that it was sorted into has disappeared. The app is supposed to allow for iOS 9 pop-over display but that crashes the app every time. This is certainly the best app of this type in the app store but it needs a lot more polish to be able to accomplish it’s lofty ambitions.

A lot of improvement in this version. Just about perfect.

Mostly an ok release but it still crashes when it is launched via iPads split screen multitasking.

Simply put, this is the best comic book reader available on any platform. It reads every file type Ive come across and looks gorgeous.

Ive adored this app for years for my CBZ viewing needs. Attractive, feature-rich, and produced by a responsive developer who cares about the product. You cant really ask for much more.

Ive used Comic Zeal since version 1 and havent needed any other comic reading app since. The thing I love about Comic Zeal is that for years its just worked. When version 9 came out there were some issues. The Dev listened to complaints and very quickly resolved them. Great app, great developer.

Each page is very blurry for 1 to 2 seconds its not worth five dollars until its fixed. Once its fixed Ill leave a updated review. For now though its not worth 1 dollar
